What Are Those UFO’s?

Whilst the many UFO reports ( “Unidentified Flying Objects,” known as UAPs “Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena” today ) do share data, actual objective evidence continues to be sparse…

“Objective evidence” implies that the data shared in a report really exists vs. just someone’s thoughts on the subject… any given report on a UFO will share that a sighting had occurred (in the sky), that it was difficult to explain due to the shape, the speed, the motions of the device, etc—yet no physical evidence

The 1st significant incident of these UFOs apparently occurred during a violent thunderstorm on Saturday, July 5th, 1947 ( possibly earlier in June, as shared by other reports ) near Roswell, New Mexico, USA and was the crash of what appeared to be an actual UFO with dead aliens inside…

A rancher named W.W. “Mac” Brazel, the foreman of the Foster Ranch (near Corona, north of Roswell) had ridden out on a horse after the storms on Sunday, July 6th with his young neighbor Dee Proctor to check on his sheep; they discovered a wide swath of strange debris spread across the prairie as they rode, and collected several pieces of wood, metal, and some of the foil fragments. He then drove into Roswell bringing his story and some of the debris to Sheriff George Wilcox in his office next to the jail at the back of the Chaves County Courthouse. The sheriff was not particularly interested, but did telephone the Roswell Army Air Field ( RAAF ) in case this indicated a crashed airplane

The RAAF published a report in the Roswell Daily Record newspaper a few days later on Tuesday, July 8th, 1947 with additional comments by Dan Wilmot and his wife, who had also reported this sighting to the paper. The article described the debris as “rubber strips, tinfoil, a rather tough paper, and sticks”

The RAAF base intelligence officer, Major Jesse Marcel had been sent out to investigate this, and he tried to reconstruct the object in Brazel’s home before taking part of the wreckage back to the air base. The RAAF then announced that they had "come into the possession of a flying saucer." Behind the scenes, the investigation was still underway. All of the recovered debris were then gathered up by the RAAF military under the direction of Major Marcel and on July 8th 1947, the public information officer Lt. Walter Haut issued a press release under orders from base commander Col. William Blanchard, which basically said “we have in our possession a flying saucer”

The next day another press release was issued, this time from Brigadier General Roger Ramey, Commander of the 8th Air Force at Fort Worth, stating that “the wreckage was from a weather balloon.” Despite the retraction, the seeds of suspicion were planted. In the following decades, articles, books, and TV shows explored the possibility of a UFO crash. That event was also later ascertained by the Dallas Field Office of the FBI to be “nothing but a high-altitude weather balloon” and as “a hexagonal disc suspended by cable from a balloon;” they sent in a teletype regarding the crash of a “flying disc,” possibly as a redirect away from the actual device… many other reports are listed here

That was the start of the best-known and well-documented UFO coverup—the crash of an alleged flying saucer, the recovery of debris and bodies and the ensuing cover up by the military…

Once it became public, “The Roswell Incident” was of such magnitude and so shrouded in mystery that, over 70 years later, there are still more questions than answers. Books have been written and TV documentaries have been filmed. Witnesses have come forward. Skeptics have issued rebuttals to the Incident, and the debate continues. The alleged crash site is located on private land and is not accessible to the public…
That event does have dozens of reports ( each of which are fake, IMHO ) but the answer to the event was “it’s nothing” for many years until a leading UFO researcher Stanton Friedman came across the story in the early 1980s and began the search for information and witnesses. That research brought him to Roswell looking for the public information officer who had been at Roswell Army Air Field in 1947. That officer was Lt. Walter Haut. He still lived in Roswell and remembered the press release and the orders from his commanding officer. Friedman’s investigation also led to many others, both military and private, who had information to add to the Roswell Incident story. Stepping into the picture very strongly in the late 1980s were Don Schmitt, Kevin Randle and Tom Carey. Since then, Schmitt and Carey have dedicated their research to Roswell

The International UFO Museum & Research Center, located at 114 N. Main Street, is a nonprofit corporation founded in the fall of 1991 by Walter Haut, Glenn Dennis and Max Littell that opened to visitors in the fall of 1992. The UFO museum was organized to inform the public about what has come to be known as “The Roswell Incident” as well as all other aspects of the UFO phenomena. The corporation’s mission statement includes the goal to educate, not convince, the general public about the Roswell Incident and all aspects of the UFO phenomena

People from all around the world travel to Roswell to what the UFO Museum has to offer. Some of the exhibits include information on the Roswell Incident, crop circles, UFO sightings, ancient astronauts and extraterrestrial abductions. The exhibits are designed to encourage visitors to ask questions and to think outside the box. The UFO Museum’s Research Center Library houses more than 7,000 books and over 30,000 magazines, periodicals, pamphlets and more than 1,500 DVDs related to the UFO phenomena. The library’s friendly staff is available to help students of all ages with school projects and reports, as well as authors, researchers and visitors seeking information
Pending thoughts:
a) Describe how that Roswell event hit shortly after the atomic blasts that ended WWII, as well as the recent governmental discussions
b) Mention those ancient events, especially the carvings of them and the discussions about Ancient Aliens; add Erich von Däniken's Chariots of the Gods book and others
c) Discuss the probabilities of how they could even exist
d) Mention the fact that interstellar travel requires thousands of years to go anywhere at all -unless- there’s some as-yet unknown way to move through distance space to come visit… many movies surround the idea, albeit crap in reality
As part of my research I created two summary UFO reports (each auto-generated with some edits) from the ChatGPT app and the Google Gemini app…

The probabilities of an actual alien visit simply aren’t that possible in today’s world (as of this writing) yet the entire planet would be stunned if one arrived!
As ever, your comments and thoughts are welcome… Regards, Don
